The program

The program and the Creed of the 2012 Government will be debated and adopted during 2009 – 2010, as a result of consultations and analysis on specialty domains.

From our point of view – which will be verified in debates – the Romania of the 2012 – 2016 cycle has to be built around 5 tutorial principles:

 

  1. Transportation infrastructure – authentic priority.

A budget concentrated on mass development, during a 4 year cycle, of road, air and naval infrastructure in Romania. The connection with Europe (Hungary) through the highway network. The connection with Bulgaria – Turkey – Ukraine through the strategically important project, the Black Sea Highway. Air and harbour utilities in all major cities. Bucharest – Danube harbour. The assurance of a juridical and economical system that guaranties each invested money in infrastructure to actually be in infrastructure, and not in personal accounts.

 

  1. Banking and fiscal facilities for constructions, as well as ending the thermic insulation program. 

A European country needs a dynamic system of residence development, as well as reconditioning (aesthetic and utilitarian) of the already existing patrimony. We need energy friendly houses, that don’t increase the bills in vain; we need an architectonical revision of Romania’s figure; we need the sustained covering of the residence need - all these elements being a guarantee of the economical growth.

 

  1. The gradual development of tourism, in order to assure a significant percentage of the GDP in this sector.

Romania has few domains from which it can gain real money. Tourism is one of them – and the Turkish or Hellenic model confirms this. A major effort is needed though – both at the investment and mentalities level.

 

  1. An educative leap

An effort to synchronize the aptitudes and the intellectual formation of the young generation with their correspondents from the European West. The generation that will lead Romania in the 2020 – 2040 period has to be a plenary European generation – and it is asked to be formed in the next decade.

 

  1. Romanian brands. Romanian capital.

To count in the world economic concert, we have to promote – without protective excesses – our own brands and our own capital. The authentic prosperity for Romanians can arrive only by this path.
